Blue Eye Aviation.

Of all the logos I have produced in my career - and I've made a lot - the logo for Blue Eye Aviation holds a special place in my old, withered designer's heart.

Aviation companies aren't the most common thing, but an aviation company where you get to fly a biplane or ride in an aerobatics plane instead of just taking a Cessna out for a joyride? Definitely rare.

From his segmented wings to his little flying scarf, I put a lot of thought into the way the shapes of this Tiger Moth - like the plane, indeed - flow. I wanted to create a sense of lightness, but also of movement.

I did try flying goggles on him, but sometimes you can take it a step too far.
