Emma's Artisan Bakery.

Emma's asked me to pitch a logo concept to them for their punk bakery in Liverpool, and I was happy to oblige.

The owner was very into tattoos - he was covered in them, in fact - but I decided against covering the main figure in tattoos purely for practical reasons, as they would be completely obscured at smaller sizes - at the extremes they'd just merge together when printed. It also allowed me to maintain clean lines, although the wings are in a slightly tribal style, which was well received.

And, as I do like the odd subtle touch, the steam from the freshly baked bread forms an 'E'.
